How The Program Works

Think of the Velar Creator Program as yield farming for content. Instead of depositing tokens into a liquidity pool, you're contributing valuable Velar-focused educational content to the ecosystem.

Create content that helps users understand and use Velar's Bitcoin DeFi products - from basic tutorials to advanced trading strategies. Each piece of content you create earns points, which function similarly to farming rewards—the more you contribute, the more opportunities you have to earn.

Point System: Your Content is Your Yield

We've designed our point system to reflect the effort and impact of different content types. Here's how your contributions translate into points:

A tweet earns you 1 point—perfect for quick insights or daily updates. Threads or blog posts, which require more in-depth analysis and time, earn 3 points. For comprehensive content like videos, podcasts, or hosting community spaces, you'll earn 5 points, recognizing the significant effort these formats require.

Each point you earn converts into one raffle entry, similar to how staked tokens generate yield. The more content you create, the more entries you accumulate, increasing your chances of winning in our weekly draws.

Weekly Rewards Distribution

Week-1

Weekly rewards of 50,000 $VELAR (200,000 $VELAR monthly) are distributed among 5 contributors:

• First place: 15,000 $VELAR

• Second place: 12,500 $VELAR

• Third place: 10,000 $VELAR

• Fourth place: 7,500 $VELAR

• Fifth place: 5,000 $VELAR

Week-2

Starting 2nd week, we're doubling our impact by selecting 10 winners via raffle where total reward of 50,000 $VELAR will be equally distributed among 10 winners (5,000 $VELAR each). This week we're prioritizing the content that focuses on $VELAR token (research on tokenomics, holder distribution, staking mechanics, utility, etc.)

Participating in the Velar Creator Program is straightforward.

Important: Always use the same wallet address for all your submissions. This ensures all your points accumulate under one identity, maximizing your chances of winning.

Point System Explained

Your content earns points that convert into raffle entries. Each point equals one entry in the weekly raffle:

• Tweet – 1 point 

• Thread or Blog post – 3 points 

• Video content or podcast episodes – 5 points 

• Hosting community spaces – 5 points

The more points you accumulate, the more entries you receive in the raffle, increasing your chances of winning.

Weekly Cycles and Rewards

Our program operates on a weekly cycle, with winners selected through the raffle system every Wednesday. Think of it as a weekly harvest of your content farming efforts. After each selection, points reset for the new week, giving everyone a fresh opportunity to participate and win.

Just as yield farmers receive their rewards automatically, winners receive their $VELAR tokens within 24 hours of selection, directly to their wallet address.
